Sat out on the resort's main bar looking at the baby sharks that swim in the nearby waters or across at not always photogenic, but always interesting capital of Male', visitors may quickly realise that Kurumba is conveinient and a rather wonderful introduction to what the Maldives' resorts do best in terms of beach-side indulgence. With even standard rooms recently kitted out and made over to match the resort's overall modern decor, even the more budget options are very servicable with plenty of beach space to serenly relax and enjoy the surrounding Indian Ocean. The buffet, like many resorts offered to guests at the main restaurant offers a solid mix of regional dishes and curries with meditaranean and European cusine, they make a mean scrambled egg too! Their is a solic choice of restaurants including arab, Indian and Japanese and various seafood influences, along with a solid bar ready to mix up a medley of concoctions. On average dinner with wine or cocktails can cost, on average, around US$70 per person, but if you budget for this there is a fine choice beyond the usual stocked buffets.
