Arrivng on the resort via the resort speedboat it all seemed such a luxury. It wasn't to far away from Male (30-40mins).Not too far away. On approaching the resort, you can just see how small the island is.
The staf were welcoming on the jetty as we aprroached our check in point with coconuts (of which is a nice touch, unless you dislike the taste of coconut milk). The staff at check in were a little abrupt with dealing with the group and could have taken more care in being polite... and happier. They seemed miserable through out and everything seemed such a chore for them.
Once led through the light, exotic canopy towards our the rooms in the garden villa. The rooms were very basic, quaint, clean enough and up to standard... for the price. The bathroom was not up to a great standard but nothing to compalain. The cost of this trip was very competetive as the price including drinks was approx. $120 dollars for the night we stayed. That is including the mixed food buffets on site that was up to scratch. After the buffet on our first night, a lovely midnight swim rounded the evening off.
The next day we explored the Island more. A swim was in order and the surrounding area is a thing of beauty, as is the strength of the Maldives, generally. They did offer water sports facilities to make the most of the surroundings too. I adventured around the island to see if there was anything else going on. Nothing else is the answer and served mostly as a budget couples retreat for ususally first time maldives trip.
Overall, the resort showed potential and could be made into more of a classy stay. But acts as a viabl get away for a frst time trip to undiscovered lands.
